After getting lots of success in smartphone market, back in 2020 Xiaomi has entered into laptop market with Mi Notebook 14. Now, they have launched Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra as successor of Mi Notebook 14.

Performance
Here I have Mi Notebook Pro i5, 8GB RAM varient, This laptop has Intel core i5-11300H 11th processor, with clock speed 3.11 GHz and it can be run on 4.4 GHz by Intel turbo boost technology. Mi Notebook Pro have integrated Intel Iris Xe graphic. I had tried benchmark test on this laptop and here is the results. PCMark 10 score 4398, 3D Mark score 1331, Geekbench score for single core is 1468 and multi core is 4948, Cinebench score is 2277. Now let's talk about practical experience.
I have played CS GO and it handled around 60 fps at very low settings. I have also tried GTA-5 at very low setting and fps was fluctuating within 40 to 50 fps but, at little bit high settings, performance was not satisfactory. I have also tried bunch of light games like Valorant, Rocket league, Tekken 7 So, you can play some sort of games for few hours but, I will not recommend for gamers. You can get better gaming laptop and performance at some price, this laptop is mainly focuses on productivity and basic office works. During gaming this laptop wormed up, you can feel that even more due to metal body but, it dosn't heated much.
I have tasted Adobe Premiere Pro and this laptop can render upto 1080p video, you can't edit 4K video due to its integrated graphics. Overall, basic video editing is possible with this laptop but, you can edit high quality video using external GPU with its thunderbolt port. I have also tried photoshop in it and it is easy to edit photos and videos due to its QHD+ display with 100% sRGB colour gamut. Performance was good, there was no issues while editing on photoshop.
For general use, like work with presentation, excel, or any other use, this laptop performs similarly like other laptops. I have played 4K videos on it and performed some basic tasks, it smoothly works. But, one thing that I have noticed, after wake up from sleep mode chrome doesn't work for few seconds, I don't know why. This happened sometimes only with chrome but, remaining softwares run properly. As I said before, this laptop is for productivity and this laptop turns out perfect for that.
Display and speaker
Mi Notebook Pro has 14 inch 2560 x 1600p QHD+ IPS LCD display with 100% sRGB colour gamut 16:10 aspect ratio and 300nits maximum brightness. This high resolution display can be feel in real life usage, viewing angle is good also. Display of this laptop is coated with anti glare sheet to reduce light reflection on screen and provide better viewing experience. This has truly a good quality display, which cannot found in other laptops in this price. I have enjoyed lot of contents in it and this laptop is very good for multimedia consumption.
Coming into speaker, this has bottom firing 2W dual stereo speaker with DTS support. Sound quality of speaker is good but volume is not loud enough, you will need to have external speaker to watch movies with your friends and family. I am not satisfied with speaker performance.
Keyboard, Trackpad & ports

Mi Notebook Pro has backlit keyboard and scissor mechanism keys of 1.3 mm key travel and there is no number pad. Typing experience was good, haptic feedback sound was decent. But, keyboard is little bit smaller than what I regularly use so I faced bit problem while typing but, this is not an issue. This also has a dedicated programmable macro key which you can customise for dedicated task like launching a software or a file with a single click. Overall keyboard quality is good, there is nothing to complain about.
Coming to trackpad, this laptop has a large trackpad like macbook, which supports multi-touch gesture and windows precision driver as well. Trackpad quality is good but, this don't work as a single button, trackpad's bottom side can be pressed like key whereas top side feels solid and cannot pressed. Personally I don't like its trackpad but, you may like and it is great it its price.

This laptop does have a physical fingerprint sensor which is integrated on power button itself and it is fast and supports windows hello as well.
Mi Notebook Pro has one USB 3.1 gen 1 port and a 3.5mm audio jack at right side and at the left side, it has another USB 3.1 gen 1, a HDMI 1.4 port, a USB type C charging port and a thunderbolt 4 port which can be used for charging, connection external GPU, connecting dual monitor or any other versatile use. I really like thunderbolt port that it has. These ports are enough for almost all use. I really like its ports combination.
Battery performance and charging
As per Xiomi claims, this laptop has 11 hours of battery life but, in real life you will not get that. In general use like making presentation or working in document and exel, it can run maximum 7 to 8 hours. Or, simply this laptop can run 5 hours of Netflix with a single full charge. This has 65W USB type C laptop charger, which takes around 37 minutes to charge upto 50% and you can expect it to fully charge in around an hour or so. Which is really fast.
Design and Build quality

Mi Notebook Pro has full alluminium body and premium design. It can open almost 140 degree and it can be easily opened with one finger due to thin and light weight. This has solid metal frame, even it can be lifted in air by its led, its hinges are strong too. When I touch this laptop, it feels great, one good thing that I had noticed, its led doesn't flaxseed which was found in Mi Notebook 14. This compact laptop is weight about 1.45 kg and 31.6 x 22 x 1.7 cm physical dimensions which is pretty good, you can use it on your lap. Overall design and build quality is top of the line, I am impressed by its design and build quality.
Softwares
Mi Notebook Pro run on windows 10 Home operating system and it is lifetime licensed version. Xiomi also promised to provide Windows 11 update in future. This laptop also has pre-installed MS office 2019, some windows features as well as few bloatwares like MIUI+, Mi Drops and you can uninstall them. This laptop does have a 720p integrated web cam at the top center, which was missing earlier. Camera quality is decent.
On connectivity side, this has latest WiFi 6 dual-band (802.11ax) 2.5GHz and 5GHz frequencies, latest bluetooth version 5.1. This was really fast and seamless experience, there was no connectivity issue.

• Speaker of this laptop is not loud enough although sound quality is good.
Conclusion
We used it as primary laptop with multi-tasking, browsing, surfing, downloading files, streaming videos and music, and gaming, and it turns out that the overall experience was great, smooth as well as responsive.
As I said before, this laptop is for productivity like coding and office work, you cannot play intensive games on it or you cannot edit high-end 4K video although, you can do all this by using its thunderbolt port in right way.

This laptop has three varient of Intel i5 with 8GB of RAM (Rs 56,999), Intel i5 with 16GB of RAM (Rs 60,999) and Intel i7 with 16GB of RAM (Rs 72,999). Here RAM are not upgradable whereas, you can upgrade storage upto 2 TB. Costs of all these varient can varies on time.
